Giridih College, Giridih offers undergraduate courses in three streams: Arts, Science and Commerce; and post-graduate courses in three subjects Mathematics, English and Accountancy.

The The Bachelor of Arts requires three years of full time study consisting of six semesters. The College offers 12 honours courses in twelve arts subjects: Bengali, English, Hindi, Urdu, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Anthropology, History, Mathematics, Economics and Geography. Apart from
the specific honours , the skill enhancement courses (SEC), ability enhancement compulsory course(AECC), generic courses (GE), discipline specific elective (DSE) are included in the curriculum of the affiliating university. Our College also offers Post graduate degree in English. Arts degrees are focused on increasing a students’ knowledge and critical thinking in accordance to the syllabus and curriculum prescribed by the affiliating university (Vinoba Bhabe University, Hazaribagh). These courses aim to prepare students with a sound knowledge and skills to connect across geographical, disciplinary, social and cultural boundaries, understand the importance of ethical behavior and lifelong learning habits.:

Masters in Science degrees are offered in Chemistry, Conservation Biology and Geology, which requires two years of full time study consisting
of four semesters. These courses introduce a wide range of topics to students, develop reasoning through unfamiliar problems through critical and analytical thinking and to find a systematic approach in analysing solving problems through teamwork with importance to safe laboratory practice. The Bachelor of Commerce requires three Years of full time study consisting of six semesters. The college offers honours course in Accountancy and Commerce program in Accountancy. College also offers Post Graduate degree in Commerce. It aims to provide students with the knowledge, tools of analysis and skills to understand and participate in the modern business and economic world.
